What about the poor Switch owners though? 😧 It’s a great opportunity for both Xbox and PlayStation owners to try these games before deciding to pay full price. Although if SA is coming to Game Pass on its own, doesn’t that suggest that the games can be purchased individually?ĮDIT: Scratch that, I just saw that GTA 3 is coming to PS Now. It could be a great way to check out the remaster before laying down £54.99 for the other 2 games in the trilogy.

There’s no questioning the quality of them either.įor those who have Xbox Game Pass you can try GTA: SA remaster day one on 11th November. As for the price, £54.99, I think it really warrants it for the quality of the remaster and your essentially getting 3 great open world games for the price. Everything just looks a lot cleaner, shaper and brighter, particularly the lighting effects. I do like a bit of Vice City, so earnestly hope one or both of these bold mods make it all the way.I’m really happy with what Rockstar have done with the remasters. Useful in-game footage starts about eight and a half minutes in - I'd skip straight to that if I were you.īoth projects are thanks to the OpenIV mod tools.

Rival project Vice IV seems to be more about relocating GTA IV to the 80s, and has this very strange video full of floating people to show for it. Early doors, obviously, but seems to involve more in the way of directly carrying over original assets: Here is one of two projects, Vice City Rage. Still, we can at least have things the console fun-toys cannot: such as the series' neon-lit finest hour, Vice City, recreated in the rather meatier GTA IV engine.

Red Dead Redemption never made it this way (something I rue enormously), there's no news of LA Noire doing it either, and Rockstar probably weren't super-happy about the scathing reaction to the belated, bloatware-afflicted PC version of GTA IV. Let's face it - the next GTA game, rumours of which currently have consoleland all a-flutter, ever arriving on PC is pretty unlikely.
